Our journey to create the garden at Yuna, our soon-to-be second home in Viana do Castelo, is a tale of discovery, inspiration, and a deep connection with the natural world.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discovery at Horto da Santas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It all began at Horto da Santas<\/a>, a hidden gem bustling with rare and exotic plants. The owner’s passion for the natural beauty of his estate was contagious, leading us to a profound realization: our garden should be more than a collection of plants; it should be a declaration of love for nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by Piet Oudolf<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Drawing inspiration from Piet Oudolf<\/a>, we aim to create a garden that comes alive in every season and maintains ecological balance. Our vision is to reflect the natural beauty and diversity of the Portuguese landscape, embracing sustainable gardening and biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Harmonious trees and plants:<\/strong> Selecting native species to ensure a vibrant biodiversity and unique beauty in every season.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Wooden terraces:<\/strong> Providing serene spots to enjoy the natural splendor of the garden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Natural green railings:<\/strong> Plants covering the terraces’ railings to create a seamless transition between the house and garden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Shaded plant corner:<\/strong> A peaceful green area on the shady side of the house, including a tree for beauty and privacy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Stone terrace with natural greenery:<\/strong> The stone terrace behind the house, surrounded by upward-growing plants, becomes a natural viewpoint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Pergola with climbing plants:<\/strong> Native climbers under the pergola for natural shade and seasonal changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Stones with a story:<\/strong> Reusing beautiful stones excavated from our land, creating small habitats for plants and wildlife.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    At Yuna, we aim to create a garden that’s not just beautiful, but a sustainable haven for local flora and fauna, offering a different experience with each day and season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
