We built Yuna on a hillside in Vila Nova de Anha, just south of Viana do Castelo. A few minutes from the beach, a short drive from the city, yet still quiet, green and a little tucked away.

Where exactly is Yuna?

Yuna sits above Vila Nova de Anha, on the south bank of the Lima river, looking out over the Atlantic. The beach at Rodanho is a short walk from the door, Praia do Cabedelo is minutes away by car, and the centre of Viana do Castelo is a quick drive across the river. Porto and its airport are about forty minutes to the south.

ONCE YOU'RE HERE

Getting around

A car makes exploring easy, and we would recommend one if you want to reach the mountains, the wineries and the day trips. But a lot is closer than you think. You can walk or cycle to the beach, follow the dune paths along the coast, and stroll into the village. Once you are in Viana, the old town is easily explored on foot.

If you fancy two wheels, you can rent an e-mountain bike at Feel Viana near the beach and head off towards the waterfalls and viewpoints in the hills behind the coast.

There are small shops and a bakery in the village for the essentials, and large supermarkets are 5 min drive away in Viana do Castelo.

Where is Yuna located?

Yuna is located in Viana do Castelo, Northern Portugal, close to beaches, nature and the city center.

How far is Yuna from the beach?

The beach is about 3 minutes by car, and around 20 minutes on foot.

Is there parking at Yuna?

Yes. When you book Yuna One, you can park on the parking space. When you book Yuna Two, you can park in front of the house (outside the gate)

How far is Yuna from Porto Airport?

Porto Airport (OPO) is about a 45-minute drive from Yuna, mostly highway.

Do I need a car to stay at Yuna?

We recommend renting a car. Yuna sits on a quiet hill above Viana do Castelo — the beach is 3 minutes by car, the city center about 10 minutes.

How far is Yuna from Viana do Castelo city center?

About 8 minutes by car. You’ll find restaurants, shops and the historic center there.
